God I am busy. I thought summer would be all wonderful and slow but of course, things never happen the way one expects. But I have finally finished my first challenge picture for LJ's Star Wars Mythology! Hurrah!

I'm not going to be able to look at anybody's art for awhile, though, and I have a couple weeks to catch up on. But right now I have to go help my mother cook dinner for ten people; we have a lot of houseguests. So, sorry if I've offended anybody by not commenting (not likely but I never know).

So I've finally started on my fanart100 TDIR art. And, because to all appearances ~thebrit is no longer around to update *tdirjunkie, there's a new watcher group, ~TDIR-art. So far I've found about 33 pieces of TDIR fanart on DA and added them to ~TDIR-art's favorites. There must be more out there somewhere!

In other news, I'm trying out styles, namely that of Craig Mullins, who is just awesome. Have done two drawings so far consciously imitating (or attempting to imitate) his style. It is muchly fun.

And I really need to make myself a good website.

I just signed up for fanart100 on livejournal, where one does a hundred drawings of a particular character or pairing. I must be insane. That's it, I'm officially crazy. This is going to take years. (Signed up for Will Stanton, from The Dark Is Rising, btw.)

Finally, I'm getting some art done...photographs, fanart, original art...I've finally (with a lot of effort) learned how to paint without lineart in the final painting, and I must say it looks very nice. Damn tablet is being wierd, though, and it never starts working again until I restart my computer, which is annoying.

I've signed up for the Harry Potter fall femslash fest on LJ, and got assigned kinky Millicent/Luna smut, so as it's not worksafe it probably won't be posted here, but it's kind of funny that with two or so weeks left until I leave for college for the very first time, I'm getting back into fandom and drawing. Oh well. Hope my roommate doesn't mind my little obsessions.

Need to change my icon to something decent, also. Schmah.
